With the HUK24 accident reporting app (HUK24 UMD), you have an important companion for emergencies on hand in the event of damage. The app is structured in a clear and intuitive way.

The accident reporting app, along with the accident detection plug, is the centerpiece of an easily retrofittable emergency call system for vehicles, the accident reporting service. The accident detection plug is powered through your vehicle's 12V socket or cigarette lighter and connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

• Automatic Accident Alert:
  If the crash sensor of the accident detection plug detects your vehicle being involved in a traffic accident, an automatic accident alert is sent through the accident reporting app. Subsequently, a voice connection with our claims team is established on your smartphone. We then coordinate further actions with you on-site (e.g., informing emergency services). Information such as location and severity of the accident is also automatically transmitted, ensuring that rescue and service teams can locate you more rapidly and save valuable time. Prompt assistance in a traffic accident can save lives. In instances where we are unable to reach you by phone, we will inform emergency services if we suspect a serious traffic accident based on the circumstances.

  Manual Accident Alert:
  You can also trigger the accident reporting service manually through the app. Simply choose between "Request Rescue" or "Report Accident/Breakdown." In both cases, you will be connected to the relevant claims team that will assist you. For example, we dispatch rescue teams or arrange for a tow truck.

  In order for the accident reporting service to function properly, you must have mobile data, GPS, and Bluetooth activated on your smartphone. This leads to increased battery consumption. Therefore, we recommend charging your smartphone through the integrated USB port in the accident detection plug.
